Our behind the walls community has always been our first love and the heartbeat of Hear Her Voice that is why we have created Listening Ear, an extension to our 1-800 Self-Help Line, created to provide compassionate listening, encouragement, peer support, and connection for our behind the walls community.

We recognize that incarceration can often leave people feeling isolated, disconnected, forgotten, discouraged, alone, and hopeless, which is why we are committed to creating meaningful moments of human connection, hope, encouragement, and support.

Through the power of being present and listening without judgement, volunteers help ensure that no one feels forgotten or alone.

volunteer your ear

For those ready to offer their time, heart, and presence - we welcome you to become a Listening Ear volunteer and provide compassionate support to men and women who are incarcerated.
